The most impressive renovated neoclassical building of Kolonaki, at 33 Solonos Street, has been a milestone of Athens' shopping highlights for years, for every visitor who seeks high quality and aesthetics in fashion.
Gruppo Pagoni, seeking a special place where, according to European standards, fashion and art could coexist, discovered this historical building of 1905. With respect to tradition, historical events and personalities which defined it, Gruppo Pagoni restored it, 100 years later, to its former glory. The renovation process lasted two years, and the result was worth it. With much love and eagerness, piece by piece was “dug up” from the past elements like the painted ceilings reminiscent of middle-eastern carpets, the wood engraving details, and the old wooden staircase, bringing to life the unique treasures of Greek history
Eponymo Via Solonos is now a contemporary shop offering its customers ease of space, exemplary service, and the beauty of modern visual merchandising, displaying the collections in spacious “corners”. At the same time, it combines old and new in harmony, adding but a small stone to building the cultural heritage of modern Athens.
The ground floor is dedicated to women, with casual and prêt–à–porter lines of clothes and accessories. The basement floor is dedicated to men, while the trendy Italian café and wonderful atrium welcome guests to enjoy their espresso, at the shade of the centennial ficus tree, towering over the old Athenian yard.
